CEAT-Forecast — RRFS Fog Guidance
Research / Experimental
Current RRFS-based fog guidance for Sioux Falls (KFSD), Watertown (KATY), and Aberdeen (KABR), South Dakota, produced by CEAT-Forecast using an adaptation of the UPS Airlines radiation-fog conceptual framework.
The system evaluates forecast temperature and dewpoint, operational crossover temperature (Txover), near-surface moisture, and boundary-layer decoupling to assess whether the environmental ingredients for radiation fog are becoming aligned.

CEAT-Forecast is a research and forecast-development system and is not
an official National Weather Service forecast. The display is intended
to show the evolution of physical fog ingredients rather than a calibrated
probability of fog. Model initialization information and forecast timing
are shown on each graphic.
